Mostly against gram negative

Inhibit synthesis of bacterial cell wall

Mastitis (E. coli)

Respiratory infection 

Cattle @ 1mg/kg IM OD for 2 days in Mastitis and 2.5 mg/kg IM q48 hr in respiratory disease 

cat and dog @ 2mg/kg IV IM SC q12hr

horse @ 1mg/kg IV IN q24 hr for 5-10 days in respiratory infection
