In females induces follicular maturation, ovulation and development of CL. 

In males stimulate testosterone secretion

To induce lactation post partum

Dog - delayed ovulation - 22 IU/kg

Anestnu - 500IU/dog

Postpartum- lactation failure 100-150IU with systemic oxytocin

Deficient male libido/Cryptorchidium 100-1500 IU/dog

Cattle- Repeat breeding 1500-3000 IU (I/M) 

Cystic ovaries: 1500-3000 IU as I/M repeat on 8th day if CL in poorly developed 

Fatal resorption - 1500-3000 IU for 4 weeks as I/M
