Indication

Etamsylate (diethylamine- 2, 5 dihydroxy benzensulphonate) is a haemostatic agent used in human and veterinary medicine to control spontaneously haemorrhage after post operative care 

Dose

250-500mg (4-6 hours) after the surgery P/O

Contraindications

• porphyria (blood disorder) 

• Hypersensitivity

Adverse Effects

Skin rash, Nausea, low BP

Hemsyl - Inj 250mg/2ml and Tab 250mg, 500mg

Botrostat - Tab 250mg

Dicynene - Tab 250mg and 500mg and Inj 2ml (125mg/ml

Ethaklot - 2ml (125mg/ml)

Ethasyl - 2ml (Inj 125mg/ml)
