A bacteriostatic Macrolides antibiotic binds to 50s ribosomal subunit suppressing bacterial protein synthesis

Against mycoplasma

Dogs -10 to20 mg/kg PO q 12 hrs,

cattle - 18 mg/kg IM q 24 hrs,

Goat - 10 mg/kg (do not exceed more than 5 days) ,

Birds - upper respiratory tract infection 10 -40 mg/kg IM, BID Or TID ,

elephant - 12 mg/kg OD for 5 days ( Mycoplasama infection)       

POWDER FORM                        Dogs- 1/16 th of teaspoon 2-3 times daily for dogs less than 7 kg, (greater than 7 - 15kg ) - 1/8 th of teaspoon  2-3 times a dog for medium dogs 1/4 teaspoon 2-3 times a day for larger dogs( greater than 15 kg) 

Don not give to guinea pigs, hamster, rabbits

• Gastro intestinal upset         pain and inflammation at injection site                             decreased appetite, diarrhoea
