Inhibition of voltage gated N - type calcium channels in the CNS

Anticonvulsant, Analgesic, Chronic seizures, Chronic pain syndrome

Fir epileptic seizures ( as anticonvulsant) 

Dogs and cats- 2.5-10mg/kg -2-3 times daily

For neuropathic pain (as analgesic) 

Dogs and cats -2-5 10 mg/ kg  for 2-3 times ,daily limited dose gradually increase upto 10-15 mg / kg for 2-3 times daily over 4 weeks

Sedation, ataxia, fatigue, diarrhoea
