For thrombocytopenia, increase thrombopoiesis, increase fragmentation of megakaryocytes, decrease platelet destruction and decrease destruction of platelets by macrophages

Transmissible venereal tumor (TVT) in dogs
Mammary neoplasia in cats
Lymphoreticular tumors
Rhabdomyosarcoma
(Use gloves while administering drug)
Dose
Dogs and Cats@
Antitumor
0.025-0.05 mg/kg IV (once/week)
Thrombocytopenia
0.02 mg/kg IV (once/week) with prednisolone
Contraindications
Teratogenic and embryo toxicity in pregnant animal
IV route only
Fatal Intrathecally (if given, immediate removal of spinal fluids and flush with RL as well as other fluids)
Adverse Effects
Neuropathy
Constipation
Irritating to tissue (Avoid extravasation outside the vein)
